How To Reach The Next Level Of Life And Overcome Your Fears Instantly
What if you could sit down with one of your dream celebrities and have them share your mission with millions of people?
I recently got an email for just such a life-changing interview opportunity to share our message with millions of people (more details on that to come).
My wife and I needed to discuss this opportunity because it’s a tremendous investment of our time and money.
You always know you’re reaching for your dreams when you feel uncomfortable, and “the mind” tells you don’t do it!
But, my wife and I remembered to doubt the doubt and press forward.
My mission is simple, to use my books and courses to help millions of people and be the role model I never had growing up.
This opportunity gives us that chance; still, the investment of time & money is intimidating for our level. That meant I needed to decide how to respond in a limited-time or lose this chance.
It made me feel scared. My mind raced, and I started thinking, “What if ____.” Nobody wants to feel like they wasted money, wasted time, and didn’t see the results they wanted.
This stretch opportunity could affect my family financially since we’re putting everything on the line, but it could also transform our life and the lives of millions forever.
I didn’t have the money to capture this opportunity fully, and I wasn’t sure where I would get it. It would have been easier to stop right there and tell ourselves that we’ll just find another opportunity when “we’re ready.”
I was torn and had no time to make this decision that could change the course of our lives forever.
But then I remembered something Robert Kiyosaki once discussed…
He talked about two ways people make crucial decisions like these. The first (and most common) way is to tell yourself, “I can’t do it!” The second (and most successful) way of thinking is to ask yourself, “How can I do it?”
I chose option two, asked my wife, “How can we do it?” and our world opened up.
Asking ourselves that question, we saw how we could get the money, find the time to travel, take advantage of the opportunity, and get a vacation on top of it.
I chose to call our contact and create a game plan to take advantage of the opportunity (you’ll learn more about it next year).
When we talked, she answered all of my questions, and we set up the next steps to make this dream a reality.
Even though we knew the timeline and the cost, we still had to deal with getting the investment together and the travel arrangements during COVID-19.
We had two options to capture this interview opportunity, online or in-person. Regardless, the cost was the same. So, we chose in-person for the chance to get closer in proximity to the people who can help our mission.
To overcome this dilemma, we decided to push back the interview until next year, allowing us more time and social distancing for the pandemic.
Pushing our interview opportunity into the future means we need to be patient, but it means we can feel safe when it’s time for us to travel.
Pushing it back also gives us more time to get everything together to manage our time and finances for this stretch opportunity safely. We’re able to make money, reach millions of people with our message, and focus on building our business.
We’re able to have our cake and eat it too, but in the end, all of this means we’re growing and solving more enormous challenges, which will help fulfill our mission to help millions with our books and courses.
Your greatest take away from this story is to always ask yourself “how can I do it?” When we ask this question we go into problem-solving mode and our mind comes up with solutions.
